The popular concept of the 80-20 rule can be applied to the principles of pronunciation training. Start by focusing on the mistakes that you make the most often and/or the sounds that are the least clear, in order to ɡet the most noticeable results. 

If you are not sure what to work on first, you can do an assessment class and I will identify the biggest issues for you.


Common consonant sounds to work on:

  • English 'th'

  • Enɡlish 'r'

  • thin, sin or fin

  • Joining vowels to vowels e.g. I_ate, you_ate, Anna_ate...
