Macmillan IPA app

You can try this free app by Macmillan to get you started on the IPA:
http://www.macmillaneducationapps.com/soundspron/

It includes a chart of symbols with audio to help you learn the IPA, as well as little quizzes to test your knowledge of the IPA for English. There is a paid upgrade in order to access more resources.

Online dictionaries

The quickest and easiest pronunciation guide for single words is an online dictionary. Examples are the OxfordCambridge and Macmillan dictionaries, which all come with audio. (The dictionaries each use slightly different IPA symbols).

For those of you who want a more academic, detailed look at pronunciation, you could try the Longman Pronunciation Dictionary - sadly not online!

morewords.com

Let's say you are practising the sound cluster /spr/, in words like spring and spray. When you want to practise more of the same type of word, an easy way to find them is on morewords.com, where you can search for words that contain particular groups of letters.
